Our team is passionately dedicated to giving children a rich and memorable educational experience. We are committed to encouraging discipline and perseverance, inspiring wonder and creativity, and giving young people tools to enjoy life, think critically and logically, and make a positive impact on the world around them.
Lisa Breaux
Director & Lead Teacher
Mrs. Breaux has had over 25 years of experience working with children. Her experience includes public school teacher, preschool teacher, children's minister, and foster parent. She earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree from University of California, Berkeley, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, East Bay. She loves living in her hometown, with her wonderful husband, Sean Breaux.
Ellie Hatler
Assistant Teacher
Ellie was successfully homeschooled and graduated from high school and community college before she was 18 years old. She has loved working with children and animals for over 10 years. She has a passion to see children learn and grow. Her highest values are God, family, friendships, country, hard work and kindness.
Emme Barrieau
Assistant Teacher
Emme graduated from Summerville Highschool and is working toward a degree in English Literature. She loves working with children and sharing her passion for language, literacy, creativity, and excellence. Apart from enjoying great literature, Emme loves spending time with friends and family, especially outdoors.
Cyndi Kirk
Volunteer Teacher
Cyndi has had a lifelong pursuit and passion for excellence in education, encouraging others, and fostering greatness. She successfully homeschooled her six children and helped many others. She served as head Preschool-2nd Sunday School teacher for 35 years, and continues to serve as a children's minister. She loves the Lord and she loves people.
Mary Denton
Volunteer Art Teacher
Mary has been a dedicated nurse for 40 years. She loves the Lord, family and her horses, and has always enjoyed painting, drawing and crafts. Doing art with her grandchildren has brought her great joy; she loves working with children! She is thrilled to bring art classes to ELC.
