HOW THIS WORKS

  • Most of our parents register their student(s) as "homeschooled" with the state online in the fall. Some register with a charter school independent study program.
  • Elevation staff provides instruction to students Monday-Thursday.
  • Parents pay an annual fee for instruction, which may be split into monthly payments (See MORE: ADMISSIONS).
  • in addition to instructional fees, families pay for all the necessary books and supplies for classes.

Students work under the guidance of a credentialed teacher to study a variety of subjects. Up to middle school, students typically follow the course and curriculum choices recommended by ELC.

ELC makes course and curriculum suggestions for middle school and high school, but parents may want their student(s) to focus on limited or specific areas of study, which is easily accommodated. By these grades, students are expected to be able to self-govern and work a majority of their time independently, with less direct instruction from the teacher than the Grammar School Stage students.
